London; Former Police officer Shareen Kashif avoids jail for hiding corrupt husband’s criminal cash

لندن؛(نمائندہ پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم ,محمد نصیر راجہ،08فروری2022ء)— ہیکنی اینڈ ٹاور ہیملیٹس کی ایک سابق پولیس کانسٹیبل شیرین کاشف نے رقم چھپانے کے جرم میں جیل سے بچ گئی ہے جسے وہ جانتی تھی کہ اس کے بدعنوان افسر شوہر کاشف محمود نے غیر قانونی طور پر حاصل کی تھی۔30 سالہ شیرین کاشف نے نقدی سے بھرا ایک باکس چھپا رکھا تھا جو کاشف محمود کا تھا جب پولیس درمیانی رات گرفتار کرنے آئی تھی۔ کاشف محمود جو سابق ہیکنی اینڈ ٹاور ہیملیٹ پی سی بھی ہے – ایک منظم جرائم گروپ کا رکن تھا جس نے حریف منشیات گینگ کوریئرز کو روک کر لاکھوں پاؤنڈز ضبط کیے تھے۔باکس کبھی بھی برآمد نہیں ہوا ہے اور پولیس کا کہنا ہے کہ وہ کبھی نہیں جان پائیں گے کہ اس میں کتنی نقدی تھی، ان کی تفتیش کو مایوس کرتے ہوئے۔کاشف نے بعد میں اعتراف کیا کہ وہ جانتی تھی کہ محمود کیا کر رہا تھا لیکن اس کی اطلاع پولیس کو نہیں دی۔اسے پیر، دو سال قید کی سزا سنائی گئی – 21 ماہ کے لیے معطل – اور 150 گھنٹے بلا معاوضہ کام مکمل کرنے کا حکم دیا گیا۔

 

London; A former Hackney and Tower Hamlets police constable has avoided jail for concealing money she knew had been illegally obtained by her corrupt officer husband.

Shareen Kashif, 30, hid a box full of cash that belonged to Kashif Mahmood when police came to arrest him in the middle of the night in April 2020.

Mahmood – also a former Hackney and Tower Hamlets Pc – was a member an organised crime group which intercepted rival drug gang couriers to seize hundreds of thousands of pounds.

The box has never been recovered and police say they will never know how much cash was in it, frustrating their investigation.

Kashif later admitted that she knew what Mahmood had been doing but didn’t report him to police.

She was sentenced on Monday, January 31 to two years’ imprisonment – suspended for 21 months – and ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
