Bradford; Public anger as Pakistani community centre cuts tree without permission in Bradford

محمد نصیر راجہ۔۔۔ پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم۔۔ بریڈ فورڈ میں کئی برسوں سے جاری درختوں کے بعد عوامی غصے اور مایوسی کو بریڈ فورڈ کے ایک کمیونٹی سنٹر کے باہر بغیر اجازت کاٹ دیا گیا تھا۔ وہ درخت ایک سائٹ پر وائٹ ایبی روڈ پر برسوں سےتھے، جس پر اب پاکستان کمیونٹی سنٹر کا قبضہ ہے۔بریڈ فورڈ کونسل نے کہا کہ یہ کام اجازت کے بغیر کیا گیا اور مزید تحقیقات کر رہا ہے۔مرکز کے ایک ٹرسٹی نے اپنی کارروائیوں کا دفاع کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ درختوں کے کچھ حصے “عوام کے لئے خطرہ” بن چکے ہیں اور انہوں نے زور دیا کہ وہ واپس اُگ جائیں گے۔
London; Public anger and frustration in Bradford after trees that have stood for decades were chopped down outside a Bradford community centre without permission. The trees have stood for years in White Abbey Road on a site which is now occupied by the Pakistan Community Centre.
Bradford Council said the work had been done without its prior knowledge and without planning permission, and was investigating further.
A trustee of the centre defended its actions, saying parts of the trees had become a “danger to the public” and insisted they would grow back.
