Meanwhile, the cost of the Army Graveyard Chowk project has been reduced following the removal of the underpass from the plan.

According to sources, the original estimated cost of the Race Course Underpass was Rs3,091.090 million, which has now risen to Rs4,459.904 million following revision, marking an increase of Rs1,368.814 million.

Similarly, the estimated cost of the Charing Cross Underpass has increased from Rs2,588.654 million to Rs3,490.273 million, representing an additional Rs901.619 million.

In contrast, the Army Graveyard Chowk project has undergone a major design change, with the underpass removed from the scheme. Its revised cost has been reduced from Rs2,679.328 million to Rs1,595.095 million, a decrease of Rs1,084.233 million.

The revised estimates reflect substantial cost increases for two underpasses, while the decision to eliminate the underpass at Army Graveyard Chowk has resulted in a reduction in the project’s overall estimated expenditure.
