Kallar Syedan: Institutions Must Stay Within Constitutional Limits for Peace and Progress: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

کلر سیداں (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرام الحق قریشی |05 اکتوبر2026)—پاکستان عوام پارٹی کے سربراہ سابق وزیر اعظم شاہد خاقان عباسی نے کہا ہے کہ جب تک ادارے آئینی اختیارات کی پابندی نہیں کرتے ملک میں امن کا قیام ممکن ہے نہ ہی ملک ترقی کر سکتا ہے غیر آئینی طور پر ملک کو چلانا آسان نہیں لوگوں کی بے چینی اور تشویش کو سمجھنا ہو گا ان خیالات کا اظہار انہوں نے کلرسیداں میں میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کیا اس موقع پر نوجواں سیاسی رہنما چوہدری محمد رسول،حافظ عثمان عباسی اور شوکت اقبال جنجوعہ بھی موجود تھے شاہد خاقان عباسی نے کہا کہ کس نے حکومت کرنی ہے اس کے فیصلے کا اختیار عوام کو حاصل ہے جو اپنا فیصلہ ووٹ کے ذریعے کرتے ہیں عوام جس کو ووٹ دیں وہ ووٹ اسی کے نمائندہ کو ملنی چاہیئے جنہیں ووٹ ملے حکومت کرنے کا اختیار بھی انہی کو ہونا چاہیے انہوں نے کہا کہ آج ملک میں جو گھٹن کی فضا ہے اس کی وجہ گزشتہ عام انتخابات کے نتائج کو طاقت کے بل بوتے پر تبدیل کرنا ہے جنہیں ووٹ پڑے وہ اپنے گھروں میں ہیں جنہیں شکست فاش ہوئی وہ اقتدار پر قابض ہیں اس طرح سے ملک ترقی کرسکتا ہے نہ جمہوریت مضبوط ہو سکتی ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت اور اپوزیشن دونوں کی نیتیں درست نہیں یہی وجہ ہے کہزاکرات نتیجہ خیز ثابت نہیں ہو رہے کیونکہ دونوں کے پاس فیصلہ کا کوئی اختیار ہی نہیں حکومت خود بے بس ہے اس کو مینڈیٹ ہی حاصل نہیں نہ انہیں فیصلہ کرنے کا اختیار ہے دوسری جانب اپوزیشن کے نام پر جو لوگ حکومت سے مزاکرات کر رہے ہیں ان کے پاس بھی کوئی مینڈیٹ نہیں فیصلے کا اختیار تو اڈیالہ میں بند عمران خان کو ہے، اس میں کوئی دو رائے نہیں کہ حکومت اور اپوزیشن دونوں ایک دوسرے سے گیم کھیلنے میں مصروف ہیں انہوں نے ایک سوال کے جواب میں کہا کہ پہلے پندرہ ایام میں تیل درآمد ہوتا تھا تو نرخوں کا تعین کیا جاتا یے اب نہ روزانہ کی بنیاد پر تیل کی خریداری ہوتی ہے نہ ہی تیل روزانہ درآمد ہوتا ہے اس کے باوجود روزانہ کی بنیاد پر پٹرولیم مصنوعات کے نرخوں میں اضافے کا کوئی جواز نہیں حکومت کس بنیاد پر ہر روز تیل کے نرخوں میں اضافہ کرتی ہے کوئی جواز تو مہیا کرے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت بلدیاتی الیکشن کرانے میں سنجیدہ نہیں بلدیاتی نظام بھی کونسلر تو بے اختیار ہو گا یہ سب وقت کا ضیائع کرنے کے سوا کچھ نہیں. اس سے قبل شاہد خاقان عباسی نے دوبیرن کلاں جا کر خان شبیر خان سے ملاقات کی اور ان کے بھائی کی وفات پر فاتحہ خوانی کی وہ نلہ مسلماناں بھی گئے جنہوں نے ڈاکٹر محمد توقیر کے تایا اور ماسٹر نجابت حسین کے بھائی کی وفات پر فاتحہ خوانی کی وہ کلرسیداں میں معروف مدرس کرامت حسین کے گھر بھی گئے اور ان کی وفات پر دلی تعزیت کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ مرحوم ایک تاریخ ساز شخصیت تھے نئی نسل کو ان کی کتب سے رہنمائی حاصل کرنی چاہیے اس موقع پر سابق سٹی نائب ناظم راجہ ظفر محمود اور راشد کیانی بھی موجود تھے۔

Kallar Syedan (Pothwar.com — Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, October 5, 2026): Pakistan Awam Party chief and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that lasting peace and economic progress in the country will remain impossible unless state institutions operate within their constitutional limits and powers.

Speaking to the media in Kallar Syedan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that running the country through unconstitutional means was not sustainable and that the growing concerns and frustration among the people must be addressed. Young political leaders Chaudhry Muhammad Rasool, Hafiz Usman Abbasi and Shaukat Iqbal Janjua were also present on the occasion.

He said that the people had the right to decide who should govern the country through their votes. “The candidate or party that receives the public mandate should have the right to govern,” he said.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the prevailing atmosphere of frustration and uncertainty in the country was largely the result of the alleged alteration of the results of the last general elections through the use of force. He claimed that those who received votes were sitting at home while those who suffered defeat were in power.

He said such a situation could neither lead to national development nor strengthen democracy.

Commenting on talks between the government and opposition, the former prime minister said that neither side appeared to have the authority required to make meaningful decisions, which was why negotiations were failing to produce results. He said the government lacked a genuine public mandate, while those negotiating with it in the name of the opposition also did not possess a clear mandate.

According to Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the real authority to make decisions rests with PTI founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail. He alleged that both the government and opposition were engaged in political manoeuvring against each other rather than working to resolve the country’s problems.

Responding to a question about the rising prices of petroleum products, he said there was no justification for increasing fuel prices on a daily basis. He questioned the government’s basis for repeatedly raising petroleum prices when oil was neither purchased nor imported on a daily basis.

He demanded that the government explain the mechanism and justification behind the frequent increases in petroleum prices.

On local government elections, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the government did not appear serious about holding them. He added that a local government system in which elected councillors remained without meaningful powers would serve little purpose and would merely waste time.

Earlier, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi visited Doberan Kallan, where he met Khan Shabbir Khan and offered Fateha over the death of his brother. He subsequently visited Nalla Muslimana and offered condolences over the death of Dr Muhammad Tauqeer’s paternal uncle and the brother of Master Nijabat Hussain.

He also visited the residence of renowned religious scholar Karamat Hussain in Kallar Syedan and expressed his condolences over his death. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi described the deceased as a historic personality and said that the younger generation should benefit from his books and scholarly work.

Former city deputy naib nazim Raja Zaffar Mahmood and Rashid Kiyani were also present on the occasion.
