London: Slough Man Sentenced to 13 Years and 8 Months for Section 18 GBH

لندن، 4 ستمبر 2026 (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — محمد نصیر راجہ): تھیمز ویلی پولیس کی تحقیقات کے بعد سلاومیں دفعہ 18 کے تحت سنگین جسمانی نقصان  کے مقدمے میں محمد دین کو 13 سال 8 ماہ قید کی سزا سنا دی گئی۔

22 سالہ محمد دین، جو سلاو کے جناح پلیس کا رہائشی ہے، کو ریڈنگ کراؤن کورٹ نے سزا سنائی۔ محمد دین نے رواں سال 21 اپریل کو اپنے مقدمے کی سماعت کے دوسرے روز دفعہ 18 کے تحت سنگین جسمانی نقصان کے دو الزامات میں جرم قبول کیا۔

واقعہ 19 فروری 2025 کو سلاو کے لٹل بروک ایونیو میں پیش آیا، جہاں پولیس کو اطلاع ملی کہ ایک گاڑی نے تیز رفتاری سے دو پیدل افراد کو ٹکر مار دی۔ واقعے کے بعد گاڑی کا ڈرائیور موقع سے فرار ہوگیا۔

پولیس نے سی سی ٹی وی فوٹیج اور گاڑی سے حاصل ہونے والے فرانزک شواہد کی مدد سے محمد دین کا سراغ لگایا اور اسے 24 فروری 2025 کو گرفتار کر لیا۔ دو روز بعد اس پر قتل کی کوشش کے دو الزامات عائد کیے گئے۔

تحقیقات کرنے والے افسران ڈیٹیکٹو سارجنٹ جوش ویبر اور ڈیٹیکٹو کانسٹیبل لورا بیون نے کہا کہ یہ ایک انتہائی افسوسناک واقعہ تھا جس میں دونوں متاثرین کو شدید چوٹیں آئیں۔ ان کے مطابق محمد دین ابتدائی طور پر جائے وقوعہ سے فرار ہوگیا تھا، تاہم پولیس کی جامع تحقیقات کے نتیجے میں اس کی شناخت ہوئی اور اسے عدالت کے سامنے پیش کیا گیا۔

پولیس افسران نے مزید کہا کہ یہ مقدمہ شواہد کی بنیاد پر آگے بڑھایا گیا، جس میں سی سی ٹی وی، فرانزک شواہد اور گواہوں و مقامی رہائشیوں کا تعاون انتہائی اہم ثابت ہوا۔ انہوں نے تحقیقات میں معلومات، ویڈیو فوٹیج اور دیگر معاونت فراہم کرنے والے تمام افراد کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔

London, September 04, 2026 (Pothwar.com — Mohammad Naseer Raja): Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, Mohammed Din has been sentenced for section 18 grievous bodily harm (GBH) in Slough.

Mohammed Din, aged 22, of Jinnah Place, Slough was sentenced at Reading Crown Court to thirteen years and eight months in prison.

Din pleaded guilty to two counts of Section 18 GBH, on the second day of his trial on 21 April this year.

On the 19 February 2025 in Littlebrook Avenue in Slough, officers were called to reports that a vehicle had collided with two pedestrians at high speed. The driver then fled the scene.

Din was tracked down using CCTV and forensics from the vehicle and was arrested on 24 February 2025. He was charged two days later with two counts of attempted murder.

Investigating officers Detective Sergeant Josh Webber and Detective Constable Laura Bevan, said: “This was a shocking incident in which two victims suffered serious injuries. Although Din initially fled the scene, a thorough investigation by officers resulted in him being identified and brought before the courts.

“This was very much an evidence-led prosecution, made possible through CCTV opportunities, forensic evidence and the support of witnesses and local residents who came forward to assist our investigation. I would like to thank everyone who provided information, footage and support, which played a vital role in securing this conviction.”
