Rawalpindi: Residents Protest Fence Around Ring Road’s Maira Mohra Interchange

راولپنڈی (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرام الحق قریشی |30جولائی 2026) —راولپنڈی رنگ روڈ کے میرا موہڑہ انٹرچینج چک بیلی خان روڈ کے چاروں اطراف باڑ لگانے کے خلاف متاثرین کا احتجاجی مظاہرہ، آبادیوں کا سرکاری راستہ بحال کرنے کا مطالبہ، مظاہرین نے پلے کارڈ اور بینر اٹھا رکھے تھے مظاہرین کی قیادت مسلم لیگی رہنما راجہ الیاس کیانی،ضیاء محمود چوہدری و دیگر نے کی، راجہ الیاس کیانی نے کہا کہ ریونیو ریکارڈ میں درج راستہ بند ہونے سے زرعی اراضی تک رسائی متاثر ہونے سے کاشتکاروں کو شدید مشکلات لاحق ہیں حکومت پنجاب سے راستہ کی بحالی یا متبادل راستے کی فراہمی کا مطالبہ کیا گیا۔تاکہ کاشتکاروں کو زرعی اراضی تک محفوظ رسائی ممکن ہو سکے،ادہر مقامی رکن قومی اسمبلی انجینئر قمراسلام راجہ نے کہا کہ میرا موہڑہ کی زمینوں اور ڈھوک راجہ گل شیر و نئی آبادی نزد رتی بن کی بیرونی رسائی ختم ہونے کا معاملہ زبانی و تحریری طور پر انتظامیہ و پنجاب حکومت کے سامنے اٹھایا ہے جس کا انشااللہ مثبت حل نکل آئے گا۔ جہاں تک بسالی، ہوشیال، تراہیہ و دیگر رنگ روڈ کراسنگ و انڈر پاسز اور پلیوں پر کیچڑ اور آمد و رفت میں مسائل کا تعلق ہے یہ یقین دھانی کروانا ضروری سمجھتا ہوں کہ وہ سارے مسائل انشااللہ چند دنوں میں حل ہو جائیں گے جس کی یقین دہانی حاصل کر لی گئی ہے کیونکہ ان میں سب سے بڑی رکاوٹ موسم اور مون سون ہے جو کام کی راہ میں حائل ہے۔

Rawalpindi (Pothwar.com – Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | July 30, 2026): Residents and landowners staged a protest demonstration against the fencing installed around all sides of the Mera Mohra Interchange on Chak Beli Khan Road along the Rawalpindi Ring Road, demanding the restoration of a government access road serving nearby communities and agricultural land.

The protesters carried banners and placards highlighting their concerns over the closure of the route. The demonstration was led by Pakistan Muslim League leader Raja Ilyas Kiani, Zia Mehmood Chaudhry, and other local representatives.

Speaking on the occasion, Raja Ilyas Kiani said that the closure of the access road, which is recorded in the official revenue records, has severely affected farmers by restricting access to their agricultural land. He urged the Punjab Government to immediately restore the original route or provide a suitable alternative road to ensure safe and uninterrupted access for cultivators.

Meanwhile, local Member of the National Assembly Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam Raja stated that the issue of blocked external access to the lands of Mera Mohra and the neighbouring settlements of Dhok Raja Gul Sher and the new residential area near Rati Bin has already been raised with the district administration and the Punjab Government through both verbal and written representations. He expressed confidence that a positive solution would be reached soon.

Referring to concerns regarding muddy conditions and transportation difficulties at Basali, Hoshial, Tarahia, and other Ring Road crossings, underpasses, and bridges, the MNA assured residents that these issues would be resolved within the next few days. He explained that the primary obstacle to the completion of the work has been the ongoing monsoon season and adverse weather conditions, which have temporarily delayed construction and maintenance activities.

راولپنڈی (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرام الحق قریشی |30جولائی 2026) —لاہور ہائی کورٹ راولپنڈی بینچ کے جناب جسٹس صداقت علی خان نے ملزم خلیل حسین کی قبل از گرفتاری ضمانت کی درخواست مسترد کر دی۔مدعیہ کی جانب سے چوہدری اعجاز حسین گجر ایڈووکیٹ نے عدالت میں پیش ہو کر مؤثر اور مضبوط قانونی دلائل دیے، جن کی بنیاد پر معزز عدالت نے ملزم کی قبل از گرفتاری ضمانت کی درخواست خارج کر دی۔استغاثہ کے مطابق ملزم پر الزام ہے کہ وہ مدعیہ (مسمات ط) کے گھر میں داخل ہوا، اسے ہراساں کیا،عدالت عالیہ سے قبل از گرفتاری ضمانت مسترد ہونے کے بعد پولیس افسر جاوید اے ایس آئی نے فوری کارروائی کرتے ہوئے ملزم خلیل حسین کو گرفتار کر لیا۔ مقدمہ کی مزید تفتیش قانون کے مطابق جاری ہے۔.
