China / Kallar Syedan (Pothwar.com – Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | July 08, 2026): NEFTEC by the Government of Pakistan, has now been appointed Chairman of the Pakistan-China Technical and Vocational Secretariat in Beijing.
According to official sources, his appointment is for a three-year term. He is expected to play a significant role in strengthening technical cooperation between Pakistan and China, promoting vocational education, and creating better skills development and employment opportunities for Pakistani youth.
As part of his new responsibilities, Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam Raja is scheduled to visit China next month, where he will formally meet members of the Secretariat’s Board of Management in Beijing. The meetings will focus on developing a future roadmap, expanding bilateral technical collaboration, and enhancing vocational training initiatives for Pakistani students and young professionals.
Officials believe that his appointment will help deepen Pakistan-China cooperation in technical and vocational education while contributing to workforce development and improved employment prospects for the country’s youth.
