Gujar Khan: Father and Son Shot Dead in Mandra Firing Incident

گوجرخان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام / 29 مئی 2026) — تھانہ مندرہ کی حدود میں فائرنگ کے ایک افسوسناک واقعہ میں نامعلوم مسلح افراد کی اندھا دھند فائرنگ سے باپ اور اس کا جوانسال بیٹا جاں بحق ہو گئے۔ پولیس کے مطابق واقعہ بظاہر پرانی دشمنی اور زمین کے تنازع کا شاخسانہ معلوم ہوتا ہے۔

پولیس ذرائع کے مطابق موہڑہ پیروڈریال کے رہائشی 40 سالہ محمد جاوید ولد محمد یوسف اپنے 19 سالہ بیٹے سبیل اور دیگر تین ساتھیوں کے ہمراہ گاؤں تھرجیال اپنے ایک بیمار رشتہ دار کی تیمارداری کے لیے گئے تھے۔

پولیس کا کہنا ہے کہ واپسی پر رات تقریباً 10 بجے سے 11 بجے کے دوران جب وہ ڈھوک لوداں کے قریب ایک کچے راستے پر پہنچے تو پہلے سے تاک میں بیٹھے مسلح افراد نے ان پر اچانک اندھا دھند فائرنگ شروع کر دی۔

ذرائع کے مطابق مقتولین اور ان کے ساتھی دو موٹر سائیکلوں پر سوار تھے۔ محمد جاوید اور ان کا بیٹا سبیل ایک موٹر سائیکل پر جبکہ دیگر تین ساتھی دوسرے موٹر سائیکل پر سفر کر رہے تھے۔

شدید فائرنگ کے نتیجے میں محمد جاوید اور ان کا بیٹا موقع پر ہی جاں بحق ہو گئے جبکہ ملزمان واردات کے بعد فرار ہونے میں کامیاب ہو گئے۔

واقعہ کی اطلاع ملتے ہی ایس پی صدر، اے ایس پی گوجرخان، ایس ایچ او مندرہ، ایچ آئی یو انچارج اپنی ٹیموں اور پولیس کی بھاری نفری کے ہمراہ جائے وقوعہ پر پہنچ گئے۔

پولیس نے موقع سے شواہد اکٹھے کیے جبکہ دونوں نعشوں کو پوسٹ مارٹم کے لیے تحصیل ہیڈکوارٹر ہسپتال منتقل کر دیا گیا۔

مزید تفتیش اور فرانزک شواہد کے حصول کے لیے پنجاب فرانزک سائنس ایجنسی (PFSA) کی ٹیم کو بھی طلب کر لیا گیا ہے۔

پولیس ذرائع کے مطابق ابتدائی تحقیقات میں واقعہ کی وجہ سابقہ دشمنی اور زمین کا تنازع سامنے آیا ہے تاہم تمام پہلوؤں سے تحقیقات جاری ہیں۔

اس اندوہناک دوہرے قتل کی واردات کے بعد علاقے میں خوف و ہراس پھیل گیا ہے جبکہ اہل علاقہ نے ملزمان کی فوری گرفتاری کا مطالبہ کیا ہے۔

Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com / May 29, 2026) — In a tragic incident of firing within the limits of Mandra Police Station, a father and his young son were shot dead late at night by unidentified armed assailants in what police suspect to be a result of an old enmity and land dispute.

According to police sources, 40-year-old Muhammad Javed, son of Muhammad Yousaf and a resident of Mohra Piru Daryal, had gone to village Tharjiyal along with his 19-year-old son Sabeel and three other companions to visit and inquire after an ailing relative.

Police said that while returning home between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm, the group reached a dirt track near Dhok Lodan where armed attackers, who had allegedly been lying in wait, opened indiscriminate fire on them.

Sources revealed that the victims and their companions were travelling on two motorcycles. Muhammad Javed and his son Sabeel were riding one motorcycle, while the remaining three companions were travelling on the second motorcycle.

As a result of the intense firing, Muhammad Javed and his son died on the spot. The attackers managed to flee the scene immediately after the incident.

Soon after receiving information about the shooting, SP Saddar, ASP Gujar Khan, SHO Mandra, the HIU in-charge, along with their teams, and a heavy police contingent rushed to the crime scene.

Police officials collected evidence from the site, while the bodies of the deceased were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Forensic experts from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) have also been called in to assist with the investigation and collect forensic evidence from the crime scene.

According to initial police investigations, the incident appears to be linked to a previous enmity and an ongoing land dispute. However, police officials stated that investigations from all possible angles are currently underway.

The brutal double murder has created fear and grief in the area, while residents have demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for the killings.
