Rawat: Chairlift and Sky Glass Bridge Planned for Kotli Sattian

روات (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرام الحق قریشی، 16 مارچ 2026): پنجاب حکومت کے 23 ارب روپے کے مری ڈویلپمنٹ پلان کے تحت کوٹلی ستیاں کو جدید سیاحتی مرکز بنانے کے لیے اہم منصوبوں کا اعلان کیا گیا ہے جن میں چیئر لفٹ، چینی طرز کا سکائی گلاس برج، پیرا گلائیڈنگ سینٹر اور ایکو فرینڈلی ریزارٹ شامل ہیں۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق کوٹلی ستیاں میں چیئر لفٹ کی تعمیر پر تقریباً تین ارب 19 کروڑ روپے لاگت آئے گی اور منصوبہ جون 2028 تک مکمل کیے جانے کا ہدف مقرر کیا گیا ہے۔ یہ چیئر لفٹ ایک اعشاریہ دو کلومیٹر طویل ہوگی جو پرچھان ہل سے پھوفنڈی ٹاپ تک بنائی جائے گی۔

ڈپٹی کمشنر مری آغا ظہیر عباس شیرازی نے رابطہ کرنے پر بتایا کہ مری ڈویلپمنٹ پلان کے تحت کوٹلی ستیاں کو پنجاب کا نیا جدید ترین ٹورازم ہب بنانے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے۔

ان کا کہنا تھا کہ کوٹلی ستیاں میں سیاحت کے فروغ کے لیے 14 ترقیاتی سکیموں کی منظوری دی جا چکی ہے جن کے ذریعے علاقے میں سیاحتی سہولیات کو جدید خطوط پر استوار کیا جائے گا۔

ان منصوبوں میں ایکو فرینڈلی گلمپنگ پوڈ ویلج اور ریزارٹ کا قیام بھی شامل ہے جہاں سیاحوں کو جدید طرز کی لگژری کیمپنگ سہولیات فراہم کی جائیں گی جبکہ ماحول دوست سیاحت کو بھی فروغ دیا جائے گا۔

اسی طرح کوٹلی ستیاں میں پنجاب کا پہلا جدید پیرا گلائیڈنگ سینٹر بھی قائم کیا جائے گا جس سے ایڈونچر ٹورازم کو فروغ ملے گا اور سیاحوں کے لیے نئی تفریحی سرگرمیاں میسر آئیں گی۔

سیاحوں کی دلچسپی کے لیے یہاں چینی طرز کا جدید سکائی گلاس برج بھی تعمیر کیا جائے گا جس پر چلتے ہوئے سیاح نیچے پھیلی خوبصورت وادیوں کا نظارہ کر سکیں گے۔

حکام کے مطابق کوٹلی ستیاں میں نئی چیئر لفٹ کی تعمیر کے ساتھ ساتھ پتریاٹہ چیئر لفٹ کی مرمت اور اپ گریڈیشن بھی کی جائے گی تاکہ سیاحوں کو محفوظ اور بہتر سہولیات فراہم کی جا سکیں۔

حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ ان منصوبوں کی تکمیل سے نہ صرف مری اور گردونواح میں سیاحت کو فروغ ملے گا بلکہ مقامی معیشت مضبوط ہونے اور روزگار کے نئے مواقع پیدا ہونے میں بھی مدد ملے گی۔

Rawat (Pothwar.com — Ikram Ul Haq Qureshi, March 16, 2026): The Government of Punjab has unveiled an ambitious development initiative for the hill region of Kotli Sattian as part of the Rs23 billion Murree Development Plan, which includes the construction of a modern chairlift and a Chinese-style sky glass bridge to promote tourism in the area.

According to official details, the proposed chairlift project in Kotli Sattian will cost approximately Rs3.19 billion and is expected to be completed by June 2028. The chairlift will span about 1.2 kilometres, connecting Parachan Hill to Phofandi Top, offering visitors a scenic aerial view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, when contacted, confirmed that under the Murree Development Plan, Kotli Sattian is being transformed into Punjab’s newest and most modern tourism hub.

He stated that 14 tourism-related development schemes have been approved for the region as part of the comprehensive plan aimed at boosting tourism infrastructure and attracting both domestic and international visitors.

Among the major projects included in the development plan is the establishment of an eco-friendly glamping pod village and resort, which will provide visitors with luxury camping facilities while preserving the natural beauty of the area.

In addition, Punjab’s first modern paragliding centre will also be developed in Kotli Sattian to promote adventure tourism and create new recreational opportunities for tourists.

Another key attraction planned for the region is a sky glass bridge, designed in the style of modern Chinese tourist bridges. The transparent glass structure will allow visitors to walk above scenic valleys, providing a thrilling experience and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Officials also confirmed that alongside the construction of the new chairlift in Kotli Sattian, the existing Patriata Chairlift will undergo repair, renovation, and upgradation to improve safety standards and enhance tourist facilities.

Authorities believe that these development projects will not only increase tourist activity in the Murree region but will also generate employment opportunities and strengthen the local economy.
