Gujar Khan: Government of Punjab Launches Anti-Encroachment Operation for Mega Projects

گوجرخان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام | 06 مارچ 2026ء)حکومت پنجاب نے وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف کی خصوصی ہدایات پر گوجرخان میں اعلان کردہ دو میگا پراجیکٹس پر باقاعدہ عملی کام کا آغاز کر دیا ہے۔ منصوبوں کی راہ میں حائل رکاوٹیں دور کرنے کے لیے ضلعی انتظامیہ نے تجاوزات کے خلاف بھرپور آپریشن شروع کر دیا ہے۔

پہلے مرحلے میں میونسپل کمیٹی گوجرخان کی بیرونی دیواریں اور پارکنگ ایریا، جو تجاوزات کے زمرے میں آتے تھے، اسسٹنٹ کمشنر گوجرخان خضر ظہور گورائیہ کی نگرانی میں چیف افیسر بلدیہ طارق ضیاء اور سی اینڈ ڈبلیو ایس ڈی او ہائی وے نوید اشرف کی قیادت میں عملے نے ہیوی مشینری کے ذریعے مسمار کر دیے۔

اہم ترقیاتی منصوبے

گوجرخان کے لیے اعلان کردہ ان منصوبوں کو شہر کی تاریخ کا اہم سنگ میل قرار دیا جا رہا ہے، جن میں شامل ہیں:

دو جدید انڈر پاسز کی تعمیر

مرکزی شاہراہوں کی توسیع اور بحالی

سروس روڈز کو مختلف علاقوں سے منسلک کر کے ماڈل روڈز میں تبدیل کرنا

شہر کے دونوں اطراف کو مربوط کرنے کے لیے جدید یوٹرنز کا قیام

جدید پارکنگ پلازہ کی تعمیر تاکہ ٹریفک کے دباؤ میں کمی لائی جا سکے

یہ جامع منصوبہ گوجرخان کی خوبصورتی، شہری ڈھانچے اور ٹریفک نظام میں نمایاں بہتری لائے گا۔

مارکنگ اور عملدرآمد کا سلسلہ جاری

تفصیلات کے مطابق وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب کی ہدایات پر انڈر پاسز، پارکنگ پلازہ، کشادہ سروس روڈز اور یوٹرنز کی تعمیر کے منصوبوں پر عملدرآمد کے لیے مختلف محکموں کے باہمی اشتراک سے گزشتہ کئی روز سے عمارتوں کی مارکنگ کا عمل جاری ہے، جس میں بعض سرکاری عمارتیں بھی شامل ہیں۔

انتظامیہ کا کہنا ہے کہ تجاوزات کا خاتمہ منصوبوں کی بروقت تکمیل کے لیے ناگزیر ہے۔ حکام کے مطابق ان ترقیاتی اقدامات سے شہریوں کو طویل المدتی سہولیات میسر آئیں گی اور گوجرخان کو ایک جدید اور منظم شہر بنانے میں مدد ملے گی۔

Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com | March 06, 2026) —The Government of Punjab has formally initiated practical work on two major mega development projects in Gujar Khan, following special directives from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. To ensure smooth implementation, the district administration has launched a full-scale anti-encroachment operation to remove hurdles obstructing the projects.

In the first phase of the operation, outer boundary walls and parking areas of the Municipal Committee Gujar Khan — identified as encroachments — were demolished using heavy machinery. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Gujar Khan Khizar Zahoor Goraya, alongside Chief Officer Municipal Committee Tariq Zia and C&W Sub-Divisional Officer Highways Naveed Ashraf.

Major Development Projects Announced

The two mega projects announced for Gujar Khan are being termed a landmark development for the city. The projects include:

• Construction of two modern underpasses

• Expansion and rehabilitation of main highways

• Conversion of service roads into model roads by connecting them with various localities

• Establishment of modern U-turns to improve connectivity on both sides of the city

• Construction of a state-of-the-art parking plaza to ease traffic congestion

These comprehensive initiatives aim to significantly enhance Gujar Khan’s urban infrastructure, traffic management system, and overall city beautification.

Ongoing Marking and Demolition Process

According to official sources, on the directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the marking process of buildings falling within the project limits has been underway for several days. Multiple departments are working in coordination to implement the projects effectively. Some government buildings are also included in the marking process where required.

The administration has emphasised that the removal of encroachments is essential to ensure the timely completion of the projects. Authorities have assured citizens that the development works will bring long-term benefits, reduce traffic pressure, and transform Gujar Khan into a modern urban hub.
