روات (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرام الحق قریشی |23فروری 2026)—ڈویژنل والی بال ایسوسی ایشن راولپنڈی کے صدر ڈاکٹر پروفیسر تنویر افضل، جنرل سیکرٹری اور سابق بین الاقوامی کھلاڑی مرزا شمریز اقبال کی جانب لاہور میں منعقدہ پنک گیمز میں راولپنڈی ویمن والی بال ٹیم کی کے اعزاز میں استقبالیہ دیا اور ٹورنامنٹ میں ان کی پیشہ وارانہ کارکردگی کو بیحد سراھا گیا اور کہا کہ ٹورنامنٹ میں لاہور اور فیصل آباد کی ٹیموں سے مقابلہ کے درمیان راولپنڈی کی ٹیم کی کارکردگی بڑی معیاری رہی ٹیم کیپٹن تحریم ایمان کی قائدانہ صلاحیتوں بھی نکھر کر سامنے آئیں کوچز احسان اقبال لیاقت علی اور سجاد احمد اور دیگر کی کارکردگی پر بھی گہرے اطمینان کا اظہار کیا گیا ڈویژنل صدر ڈاکٹر پروفیسر تنویر افضل نے کہا کہ والی بال کے زیادہ ٹورنامنٹ منعقد کرکے ہم سب اس کھیل کو ملک میں زیادہ مقبول بنا سکتے ہیں یہ نوجوانوں کی لیے جسمانی نشو نما کا بہترین ذریعہ ہے ہم معاشرتی دوریوں کو کھیلوں کے ذریعے کم کر سکتے ہیں۔اسوقع پر ضلع مری کے مہوش عباسی اور ضلع چکوال سے ملک محمد تفسیر کو خصوصی شرکت پر ان کا بھی شکریہ ادا کیا اور کہا کہ کھلاڑیوں کی حوصلہ افزائی کے لیے ان کی شرکت اہم تھی۔ٹیم کیپٹن تحریم ایمان نے مستقبل میں مزید بہتری کے لیے مختلف تجاویز بھی پیش کیں جن میں جدید معیاری سہولیات اور ٹریننگ پر زور دیا گیا۔
Rawat (Pothwar.com — Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | February 23, 2026) A reception ceremony was organized in honor of the Rawalpindi Women Volleyball Team following their impressive performance at the Pink Games held in Lahore. The event was hosted by the Divisional Volleyball Association Rawalpindi.
President Dr. Professor Tanveer Afzal and General Secretary and former international player Mirza Shamrez Iqbal praised the team’s professional and high-quality performance during the tournament. They noted that Rawalpindi’s team delivered an outstanding display of skill while competing against strong teams from Lahore and Faisalabad.
Special appreciation was extended to team captain Tahreem Iman for her remarkable leadership qualities, which stood out during the competition. Coaches Ahsan Iqbal, Liaqat Ali, and Sajjad Ahmed were also commended for their dedication and technical guidance.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Professor Tanveer Afzal emphasized that organizing more volleyball tournaments across the country would help popularize the sport. He stated that sports play a vital role in the physical development of youth and help reduce social distances within society.
The organizers also thanked Mehwish Abbasi from District Murree and Malik Muhammad Tafseer from District Chakwal for their special participation, noting that such encouragement is vital for boosting players’ morale.
Team captain Tahreem Iman presented several suggestions for future improvement, stressing the need for modern facilities and advanced professional training programs to further elevate the team’s performance.
