Gujar Khan: Two Robbers Arrested in Injured Condition After Police Encounter in Mandra

گوجرخان ( پوٹھوارڈاٹ کام| 08 فروری 2026ء):گوجرخان کے علاقہ مندرہ میں رات گئے پولیس مقابلے کے دوران دو خطرناک اور مطلوب ڈاکو زخمی حالت میں گرفتار کر لیے گئے، جبکہ ان کے دو ساتھی اندھیرے کا فائدہ اٹھاتے ہوئے فرار ہونے میں کامیاب ہو گئے۔

پولیس کے مطابق تھانہ مندرہ کی پولیس پارٹی معمول کی گشت پر تھی کہ اس دوران موٹر سائیکل پر سوار چار مشتبہ افراد نے پولیس ٹیم پر فائرنگ کر دی۔ پولیس نے اپنی حفاظت کے پیش نظر جوابی فائرنگ کی، جس کے نتیجے میں دونوں جانب سے کچھ دیر فائرنگ کا تبادلہ ہوا۔

مقابلے کے دوران دو مسلح ملزمان زخمی ہو گئے جنہیں پولیس نے موقع پر ہی گرفتار کر لیا، جبکہ دو دیگر ملزمان فرار ہو گئے۔ زخمی حالت میں گرفتار ملزمان کی شناخت نیاز اور شہباز کے ناموں سے ہوئی ہے۔

پولیس ترجمان کے مطابق گرفتار ملزمان کے قبضے سے وہ موٹر سائیکل بھی برآمد کر لی گئی جو ڈیڑھ ماہ قبل گن پوائنٹ پر چھینی گئی تھی، جبکہ واردات میں استعمال ہونے والا اسلحہ بھی تحویل میں لے لیا گیا ہے۔

پولیس کا کہنا ہے کہ گرفتار ڈاکو ڈکیتی اور گاڑیاں چوری کرنے کے متعدد مقدمات میں مطلوب تھے اور ان کے خلاف مختلف تھانوں میں مقدمات درج ہیں۔

فائرنگ کے تبادلے کے دوران ایک گولی کانسٹیبل علی کو بھی لگی، تاہم بلٹ پروف جیکٹ پہننے کے باعث وہ محفوظ رہے۔

واقعے کی اطلاع ملتے ہی سینئر پولیس افسران اضافی نفری کے ہمراہ موقع پر پہنچ گئے اور صورتحال کا جائزہ لیا۔ زخمی ملزمان کو پولیس حراست میں علاج کے لیے ہسپتال منتقل کر دیا گیا ہے۔

فرار ہونے والے ملزمان کی گرفتاری کے لیے علاقے میں سرچ آپریشن شروع کر دیا گیا ہے اور ممکنہ ٹھکانوں پر چھاپے مارے جا رہے ہیں۔

سٹی پولیس آفیسر راولپنڈی سید خالد محمود ہمدانی نے کامیاب کارروائی پر ایس پی صدر، اے ایس پی گوجرخان اور تھانہ مندرہ کی پولیس ٹیم کی کارکردگی کو سراہتے ہوئے شاباش دی ہے۔

پولیس حکام نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا ہے کہ جرائم پیشہ عناصر کے خلاف کارروائیاں جاری رہیں گی اور شہریوں کے جان و مال کے تحفظ کو ہر صورت یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔

Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com, February 08, 2026): Two wanted and dangerous robbers were arrested in an injured condition following a late-night police encounter in the Mandra area of Gujar Khan, while two of their accomplices managed to escape, police said on Sunday

According to details, a police party from Mandra Police Station was on routine patrol when four suspects riding a motorcycle opened fire on the police team. The police retaliated in self-defence, leading to a brief exchange of fire

During the encounter, two of the armed suspects sustained injuries and were apprehended by the police, while the remaining two fled the scene under the cover of darkness. The injured suspects were later identified as Niaz and Shehbaz

A police spokesperson said that a motorcycle snatched at gunpoint around one and a half months ago was recovered from the arrested suspects. Police also recovered weapons used in the crime from their possession

The spokesperson further stated that the arrested suspects were involved in multiple cases of robbery and vehicle theft and were wanted by police in several criminal cases

During the exchange of fire, a bullet hit Constable Ali; however, he remained completely safe due to wearing a bulletproof jacket

Upon receiving information about the incident, senior police officers reached the spot along with additional police forces to assess the situation and oversee further action. The injured suspects were shifted to a hospital under police custody for medical treatment

A search operation has been launched in the surrounding areas to arrest the fleeing suspects, and police teams are conducting raids at possible hideouts

City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, appreciated the performance of SP Saddar, ASP Gujar Khan, and the Mandra Police team for their timely action and bravery in dealing with the armed criminals

Police officials reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and said operations against criminal elements would continue
