Rawat: Security Put on High Alert in Rawalpindi After Islamabad Blast

ذرائع کے مطابق پولیس نے تمام داخلی و خارجی راستوں پر ناکہ بندی کر دی، کینٹ میں مسیحی برداری عبادات گاہوں پر بھی اضافی پولیس نفری تعینات کر دی گئی۔سی پی او سید خالد ہمدانی نے تمام ایس پیز اور ایس ڈی پی اوز کو فوری حساس علاقوں میں پہنچنے کی ہدایت کر دی جبکہ کسی بھی ہنگامی حالت سے نمٹنے کے لیے ریسکیو 1122 اور سول ڈیفنس کو بھی ہائی الرٹ کر دیا گیا۔

Following a blast at an imambargah in Islamabad, security across Rawalpindi has been placed on high alert, with strict measures introduced to prevent any untoward incident.

According to official sources, security at mosques and imambargahs has been significantly enhanced, while authorities have ordered the immediate removal of encroachments outside these religious places to eliminate potential security risks. Police have set up checkpoints at all entry and exit points of the city, and thorough checking of vehicles and individuals is underway.

Additional police contingents have also been deployed at Christian places of worship, particularly in Cantonment areas, as a precautionary measure. Plainclothes personnel have been assigned to monitor sensitive locations and public gatherings.

City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Hamdani, has directed all Superintendents of Police (SPs) and Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) to immediately reach sensitive areas and personally supervise security arrangements. He emphasized that no negligence would be tolerated under the prevailing security situation.

To ensure preparedness in case of any emergency, Rescue 1122 and Civil Defence departments have also been placed on high alert. Hospitals have also been advised to remain prepared for any emergency situation.

Police officials stated that these measures have been taken to ensure the safety of lives and property. Citizens have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or through emergency helplines. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, and further security measures may be introduced if required.
