Gujar Khan, Daultala (Pothwar.com — Muhammad Najeeb Jaral | March 18, 2026):
A 68-year-old man was allegedly forcibly evicted from his own land by a land mafia in the village of Miana Sahtal, located on the outskirts of Gujar Khan, leaving the affected family in fear and forcing them to relocate.
According to the victim, Haji Abdul Latif, he spent nearly 40 years working in Dubai and used his life savings to purchase land in his ancestral village so he could live peacefully in his old age. However, he claims that several influential individuals illegally occupied his property.
He alleged that Muhammad Sajid, Muhammad Fahad, and Muhammad Adnan threatened him and his family with weapons, issuing death threats and forcibly removing them from their home. The actions were reportedly carried out under the direction of their alleged ringleader, Hasanat Ahmed, who is currently residing in Dubai.
The displaced family has taken temporary shelter in Chakwal, where their children’s education is also being disrupted due to the situation.
Haji Abdul Latif further claimed that the accused individuals have a prior criminal record with serious cases registered against them, yet they continue to operate freely, creating an atmosphere of fear in the area.
He has appealed to the CCD Rawalpindi and other law enforcement agencies to intervene, recover his land from the alleged land grabbers, take strict legal action against those involved, and provide full protection to him and his family.
Local residents have also urged authorities to take immediate notice of the incident and ensure justice for the affected family, emphasising the need to protect the lifelong savings of a hardworking citizen.
