The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi has announced the temporary suspension of all in-person consular services until further notice due to the evolving regional situation in the United Arab Emirates.
According to a circular issued by the embassy, the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of both community members and diplomatic staff. The embassy stated that updates regarding the restoration of services will be communicated through official channels as the situation develops.
Pakistani citizens residing in the UAE have been advised to follow the instructions of local authorities and remain updated through verified announcements and official government sources.
Reports indicate that the embassy’s statement also referenced an advisory issued by the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which has recommended that private sector companies adopt remote working arrangements where possible. The advisory also urged people to avoid unnecessary presence in open public spaces.
The embassy has issued emergency contact numbers for Pakistani nationals requiring urgent assistance. These include:
Landline: +971 2 4447800
Mobile: +971 50 121 0260
WhatsApp: +971 50 124 8934
Authorities in the UAE have recommended remote work for private sector employees due to ongoing regional tensions. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has advised employers to take necessary steps to reduce the presence of workers in outdoor areas, except for essential jobs that require physical attendance.
The ministry clarified that decisions regarding suspension of work or other operational measures will be determined by competent local authorities, who will act according to developments within their respective jurisdictions.
Private sector employers have also been urged to rely on official government updates at both federal and local levels and ensure that their policies and workplace arrangements comply with the latest guidance issued by UAE authorities.
