Kallar Syedan (Pothwar.com — Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | March 03, 2026) — A man from Bahari Dadyal, District Mirpur, fell victim to robbery and blackmail after offering a lift to four strangers — including a woman — on Kallar Syedan Dadyal Road.
According to the victim, Abdul Waheed, he was travelling to Islamabad International Airport to pick up his nephew when, around 5:00 PM near Chakwal/Chowa Khalsa Bridge, three men and a woman stopped his car,r requesting an urgent lift to Kallar Syedan. Out of sympathy, he agreed. The woman sat in the front seat while the three men occupied the back seat and allegedly took their photographs during the journey.
Upon reaching Kallar Syedan, the suspects asked to be dropped off on Gujar Khan Road. There, they allegedly took him to a double-storey house where one suspect pulled out a pistol, and another brandished a dagger. The victim was searched, and Rs. 37,000 in cash was taken from him.
He further stated that the suspects forcibly stripped him, recorded a video, and later demanded Rs. 2 million, threatening to release the video on social media if the payment was not made. He reportedly received a call demanding the ransom after reaching Mankiala.
Kallar Syedan Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Efforts are underway to trace and arrest the suspects.
