Gujar Khan: PPP Activist Syed Zakir Hussain Shah Parts Ways with Party and Raja Pervez Ashraf

دولتالہ کی مقامی سیاست میں اس وقت بھونچال آ گیا جب پیپلز پارٹی کے دیرینہ کارکن اور متحرک مقامی رہنما سید ذاکر حسین شاہ نے پارٹی اور پیپلز پارٹی کے مرکزی رہنما و رکن قومی اسمبلی راجہ پرویز اشرف سے راہیں جدا کرنے کا اعلان کر دیا۔

سید ذاکر حسین شاہ نے بتایا کہ یہ فیصلہ کسی وقتی ناراضی کا نتیجہ نہیں بلکہ مسلسل نظر انداز کیے جانے اور ناانصافیوں کے باعث کیا گیا ہے۔ ان کے مطابق انتخابات سے قبل راجہ پرویز اشرف کا رویہ کارکنوں کے ساتھ مختلف تھا اور براہِ راست رابطہ رکھا جاتا تھا، تاہم انتخابات کے بعد صورتحال یکسر بدل گئی۔

انہوں نے بتایا کہ راجہ پرویز اشرف کی علالت کے دوران وہ اپنے ووٹرز اور دوستوں کے ہمراہ عیادت کے لیے جانا چاہتے تھے، مگر نہ ملاقات کی اجازت ملی اور نہ ہی فون کالز اٹینڈ کی گئیں، جبکہ اسی دوران مقامی سیاسی مخالفین سے ملاقاتیں اور پروٹوکول جاری رہا، جس سے انہیں اپنے ووٹرز کے سامنے شرمندگی کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔

سید ذاکر حسین شاہ کے مطابق انتخابات کے بعد عوامی مسائل کے حل کے لیے وہ اپنی ذاتی جیب سے ووٹرز کو اسلام آباد لے جاتے رہے، مگر طفل تسلیوں کے سوا کچھ حاصل نہ ہوا، جبکہ دیگر افراد کے کام بآسانی ہوتے رہے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ انتخابی وعدوں میں سے ایک وعدہ بھی پورا نہیں کیا گیا۔

انہوں نے مزید بتایا کہ دولتالہ کے 14 پولنگ اسٹیشنز پر پولنگ ایجنٹس، ٹرانسپورٹ، کھانے اور دیگر تمام اخراجات انہوں نے ذاتی حیثیت میں برداشت کیے اور مقامی سطح پر پیپلز پارٹی کو مضبوط بنانے میں بنیادی کردار ادا کیا۔

نوجوانوں کی بڑی تعداد کے پارٹی چھوڑنے سے متعلق انہوں نے کہا کہ نوجوان شدید مایوسی کا شکار ہیں۔ انتخابی مہم کے دوران ایک نوجوان زخمی ہوا جس کے علاج کے تمام اخراجات بھی انہوں نے خود برداشت کیے، مگر پارٹی قیادت نے کوئی توجہ نہ دی۔ نوکریوں، کھیلوں کے میدانوں اور سہولیات سے متعلق وعدے پورے نہ ہونے پر نوجوانوں نے بھی پارٹی سے کنارہ کشی اختیار کر لی۔

سید ذاکر حسین شاہ کے مطابق پیپلز پارٹی آج کے نوجوان کی سیاست اور سوچ سے کٹ چکی ہے اور نظریاتی کارکن شدید ذہنی اذیت میں مبتلا ہیں۔

مستقبل کی سیاست کے حوالے سے انہوں نے کہا کہ تاحال کسی سیاسی جماعت میں شمولیت کا فیصلہ نہیں کیا گیا اور دوستوں و ووٹرز سے مشاورت کے بعد حتمی قدم اٹھایا جائے گا۔ آخر میں انہوں نے دولتالہ کے عوام اور نوجوانوں کو امن، کھیلوں، مثبت سرگرمیوں اور والدین کی خدمت کا پیغام دیا۔

A major political development has emerged in Daultala as senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) worker and active local leader Syed Zakir Hussain Shah announced his separation from the party and from PPP central leader and Member of the National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf.

Syed Zakir Hussain Shah stated that his decision was not the result of any temporary grievance but was taken after prolonged neglect and injustice. He said that before the elections, Raja Pervez Ashraf maintained direct contact with party workers, but the situation changed completely after the polls.

He added that during Raja Pervez Ashraf’s illness, he intended to visit him along with his voters and friends, but neither was permission granted for a meeting nor were phone calls answered. Meanwhile, meetings with local political opponents continued under official protocol, which left him embarrassed in front of his voters.

According to Syed Zakir Hussain Shah, after the elections he personally financed trips to Islamabad for his voters to resolve public issues, but received nothing more than false assurances, while others’ matters were resolved smoothly. He said none of the electoral promises were fulfilled.

He further revealed that he personally bore all expenses for polling agents, transportation, meals, and other arrangements at 14 polling stations in Daultala, and played a key role in strengthening the PPP at the grassroots level.

Speaking about the growing disillusionment among youth, he said that young people have become frustrated with the party. During the election campaign, a young worker was injured and all medical expenses were paid by him personally, while party leadership showed no concern. Failure to deliver on promises related to jobs, sports facilities, and basic amenities forced many young supporters to leave the party.

He remarked that the PPP has lost touch with the political mindset of today’s youth, and ideological workers are suffering from severe mental distress.

Regarding his future political course, Syed Zakir Hussain Shah said that no decision has yet been made to join any other party, and a final decision will be taken after consultation with friends and voters. He concluded by urging the people and youth of Daultala to promote peace, sports, positive activities, and respect for parents.
