Under this phase, 10,000 green tractors ranging from 50 to 65 horsepower will be distributed among eligible farmers across the province. The scheme is designed to improve agricultural productivity, reduce manual labor, and promote mechanized farming practices.
Speaking to the media, Assistant Director of Agriculture (Extension) Kallar Syedan, Dr Tania Safdar, confirmed that the application process has formally commenced. She stated that farmers who own 40 kanals or more of agricultural land are eligible to apply for the scheme.
Dr Tania Safdar emphasised that the application process is entirely online, ensuring transparency and ease for farmers. Eligible applicants have been advised to submit their applications before January 20, 2026, as no forms will be accepted after the deadline.
She further added that the Green Tractor Scheme reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to uplifting farmers, modernising agriculture, and ensuring sustainable rural development. Farmers were encouraged to complete their applications well in time and provide accurate information to avoid any delays or disqualification.
The launch of Phase Three has been widely welcomed by the farming community, who view the initiative as a significant step toward reducing production costs and enhancing crop yields through improved mechanization.
