Gujar Khan: Dense Fog and Severe Cold Grip Bewal and Surrounding Areas, Visibility Drops to Zero

بیول اور اس کے گردونواح میں شدید سردی اور دھند نے ڈیرے ڈال لیے ہیں، جس کے باعث حدِ نگاہ انتہائی کم ہو گئی ہے۔ علی الصبح دھند اس قدر شدید ہوتی ہے کہ موٹر سائیکل سواروں اور گاڑیوں کے ڈرائیوروں کو ہیڈ لائٹس آن کر کے سفر کرنا پڑتا ہے۔

پورے پنجاب کی طرح خطہ پوٹھوار کے مختلف علاقوں میں بھی شدید دھند چھائی رہتی ہے، جس سے روزمرہ سفر کرنے والے شہریوں کو سخت مشکلات کا سامنا ہے۔ شدید دھند کے باعث حدِ نگاہ بعض مقامات پر صفر ہو جاتی ہے، جس سے حادثات کا خدشہ بھی بڑھ گیا ہے۔

مقامی افراد کے مطابق دھند رات کے وقت چھانا شروع ہو جاتی ہے جو صبح کے اوقات میں مزید گہری ہو جاتی ہے اور دوپہر تک برقرار رہتی ہے۔ شدید دھند کے باعث سردی کی شدت میں بھی نمایاں اضافہ ہو گیا ہے۔

محکمہ موسمیات کے مطابق یہ سردی اور دھند کی لہر آئندہ ایک ہفتے تک برقرار رہنے کا امکان ہے، جبکہ شہریوں کو غیر ضروری سفر سے گریز اور احتیاطی تدابیر اختیار کرنے کی ہدایت کی گئی ہے۔

Bewal and its surrounding areas are in the grip of intense cold and dense fog, resulting in extremely low visibility. During early morning hours, the fog becomes so thick that motorists and motorcyclists are compelled to travel with their headlights switched on.

Like other parts of Punjab, several areas of the Potohar region are also experiencing persistent fog, causing serious inconvenience to daily commuters. In some locations, visibility drops to near zero, significantly increasing the risk of traffic accidents.

According to local residents, fog starts settling in during the night, intensifies in the morning, and often persists until noon. The dense fog has also led to a noticeable increase in cold weather conditions.

The Meteorological Department has forecast that the current spell of fog and cold wave is likely to continue throughout the week. Citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and adopt precautionary measures while on the roads.
