Rawat: CPO Rawalpindi Holds Open Court at Rawat Police Station, Public Expresses Disappointment Over Police Performance

روات (نمائندہ پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم ,اکرام الحق قریشی۔ 28جنوری 2025ء)—سی پی او راولپنڈی سید خالد ہمدانی کی تھانہ روات میں کھلی کچہری،سائلین نے شکایات کے انبار لگا دیئے،خواتین سمیت دیگر سائلین نے چوری کی وارداتوں میں مال مسروقہ کی برامدگی میں تفتیشی افسران کی کارکردگی پر مایوسی کا اظہار،سی پی او راولپنڈی سید خالد ہمدانی نے میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ راولپنڈی ضلع میں سالانہ 60ہزار سے زائد کیسز کا اندراج ہو رہا ہے پولیس نظام میں جہاں بہتری ائی ہے وہاں کھلی کچہری میں چند خامیاں بھی سامنے ائی ہیں سسٹم میں بہتری لا رہے ہیں موجودہ ٹیم میں کوئی بھی تبدیلی نہیں کر رہے ہیں تاہم عوام کو تحفظ فراہم کرنے کے لئے۔ہمہ وقت متحرک ہیں سمندر پار پاکستانیوں کو قومی شاہراہ پر لوٹنے والے گروہ کے حوالے سے اور دانیال قتل کیس پر جلد میڈیا کو اگاہی فراہم کریں گے۔اس موقع پر ٹاؤٹوں نے پولیس کے حق میں قصیدے گوہی شروع کر دی،لوگوں نے پولیس کارکردگی کو انتہائی مایوس کن قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ تفتیشی افسران مخالف فریق سے مل کر مقدمات کو نقصانات پہنچاتے ہیں ملزمان کی گرفتاری کے بعد بھی سائلین کو مال مسروقہ نہیں ملتا جس سے عوام کا پولیس پر سے اعتماد اٹھ رہا ہے سی پی او راولپنڈی نے یقین دھانی کروائی کہ وہ بہتر پولیسنگ کے لیے کوشاں ہیں امید ہے جلد نظام میں بہتری دکھائی دے گی۔

Rawat (Pothwar.com, Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, 28 January 2025) – City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Hamdani, held an open court at Rawat Police Station, where citizens, including women, voiced numerous complaints. Many expressed frustration over the lack of progress in recovering stolen property and criticised the performance of investigating officers.

Speaking to the media, CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani stated that over 60,000 cases are registered annually in the Rawalpindi district. He acknowledged improvements in the police system but also admitted that open courts have revealed certain flaws. While no changes are planned within the current police team, he assured the public that efforts are ongoing to improve the system and ensure public safety.

Regarding high-profile cases, the CPO promised updates on the gang targeting overseas Pakistanis on national highways and the Danyal murder case in the near future.

During the session, touts praised the police, while many attendees expressed disappointment. Citizens criticised investigating officers, accusing them of siding with opposing parties and mishandling cases, resulting in delays or failure to recover stolen goods. This, they said, has eroded public trust in the police force.

CPO Rawalpindi reassured the public that he is committed to improving policing standards and hoped that noticeable improvements in the system would be visible soon.
