Gujar Khan – (Pothwar.com, November 18, 2024) – Gujar Khan Police have successfully conducted an operation, arresting nine individuals involved in online gambling on cricket and other games. The authorities recovered a total of Rs. 144,260 in cash and several mobile phones used in the illicit activity.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Ikhlaq, Tahir, Waqas, Khawar, Nadeem, Khawar Jamal, Waheed Akhtar, Waheed Akmal, and Nazaqat. They were found to be using the “Bet Pro” app to engage in online gambling activities.

SP Saddar Muhammad Nabeel Khokhar stated that the arrested suspects will be presented in court with solid evidence to ensure appropriate legal punishment. He emphasized that gambling is a root cause of other social evils and reaffirmed the commitment to continue operations against those involved in such illegal activities.

This operation marks another step in the police’s ongoing efforts to curb gambling and promote social stability in the region.
