Gujar Khan: The ring road project will be completed within the stipulated period, the revised cost has reached 44 billion, Commissioner Rawalpindi.

گوجر خان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، 28 فروری 2024) —کمشنر راولپنڈی ڈویژن عامر خٹک نے رنگ روڈ کیمپ آفس کا دورہ کیا۔اس موقع پر ان کو بریفنگ میں بتایا گیا کہ راولپنڈی رنگ روڈ منصوبے کی لمبائی 38.3 کلومیٹر ہے۔بانٹھ، چک بیلی خان، اڈیالہ روڈ، چکری روڈ، ٹھلیاں کے مقام پر پانچ انٹر چینجز ہوں گے۔ ایک ریلوے پل بھی بنایا جائے گا۔5 اوورپاسز جبکہ 21 سب وے ہوں گے۔ کمشنر نے کہا کہ رنگ روڈ پراجیکٹ مقرر کردہ مدت میں ہر صورت مکمل کریں گے۔
باخبرذرائع کے مطابق رنگ روڈ کا نظر ثانی شدہ پی سی ون پی اینڈ ڈی کو جمع کرادیا گیا ۔منصوبہ کی لاگت 44ارب روپے ہوگئی ہے۔ذرائع کے مطابق لاگت میں اضافہ مہنگائی کے باعث کیا گیا ۔پی اینڈ ڈی بورڈ اب منصوبہ کا جائزہ لے کر منظوری دے گا۔منصوبہ کی ابتدائی لاگت 31اعشاریہ7ارب روپے تھی۔

During the visit, he was briefed on the Ring Road project, highlighting its total length of 38.3 kilometers. The project includes five interchanges at Banth, Chak Beli Khan, Adyala Road, Chakri Road, and Thallian, along with the construction of a railway bridge. The road will feature five overhead passes and 21 subways. Commissioner Khattak expressed his commitment to completing the Ring Road project within the stipulated timeframe.

According to sources, the revised PC-1 (Planning Commission-1) for Ring Road has been consolidated with the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), bringing the total cost of the project to 44 billion rupees. The increase in cost is attributed to inflationary factors. The PNDB (Punjab National Development Board) will now review the project and provide approval. The initial estimated cost of the project was 31.7 billion rupees.

The Ring Road project is anticipated to bring significant infrastructural development to the region, facilitating improved connectivity and transportation for the local community.
