France; The first ever International Conference on Mountains of Pakistan will be held in Paris on October 25, 2018 to showcase the majestic mountain regions of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the conference is to highlight the opportunities for mountaineering, trekking, skiing, rock climbing, paragliding and kayaking and to discuss eco-tourism and sustainable development of the mountains.<\/p>\n

The event organised by the embassy of Pakistan in France will be held at \u2018Maison de l\u2019UNESCO\u2019 Paris.<\/p>\n

More than five hundred enthusiasts and practitioners of alpinism and adventure sports are expected to attend the conference. Many tour operators and journalists of Pakistan and France have also been invited to attend the conference.<\/p>\n

The highlights of the conference are the three thematic panel discussions: \u201cConquering the Heights\u201d, \u201cDiscovering New Adventures\u201d and \u201cTourism: Sublime & Sustainable\u201d. World renowned mountaineers, adventure sports specialists and experts on eco-tourism and sustainable development are part of these three panel discussions. A special award ceremony \u201cSpirit of Mountaineering Award\u201d by the British Alpine Club to recognize the daring rescue operations of Pakistani pilots saving foreign mountaineers is also part of the programme.
