Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com, October 27, 2026 — Raja Shakeel, a serving soldier of the Pakistan Army and a well-known kabaddi player, has tragically lost his life in a road accident, leaving his family, friends, fellow servicemen, and the local community in deep mourning.

Raja Shakeel hailed from Dhok Sardar, near Ranjali, in Tehsil Gujar Khan. In addition to his service in the Pakistan Army, he was recognised in the local sporting community for his association with kabaddi, a traditional sport that enjoys widespread popularity across Punjab, particularly in the Potohar region.

News of his untimely death has brought great sorrow to the area. His passing is a significant loss for his loved ones and for those who knew him through his military service and sporting activities. His dual identity as a Pakistan Army soldier and a kabaddi player made him a familiar and respected figure among members of the community.

According to the funeral announcement, the funeral prayer (Namaz-e-Janaza) will be offered on Monday at 12:30 p.m. in Dhok Sardar, near Ranjali, Tehsil Gujar Khan. Family members, relatives, friends, residents of the surrounding areas, and members of the local community are expected to attend the funeral prayer to pay their final respects.

The tragic incident has cast a shadow of grief over Dhok Sardar and the surrounding locality. The deceased will be remembered by his family and community for his service to the country and his connection with the traditional sport of kabaddi.

May Allah Almighty grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give his bereaved family the strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen.
