London (Pothwar.com \u2013 26 October 2026, Mohammad Naseer Raja) \u2013Aisha Zaman has appeared in court in connection with the shooting of a police officer in Nottingham city centre.<\/h4>\n

The officer – who is in a stable condition in hospital and named in court as PC Lee Lane – was shot in the foot after approaching two people at a bus stop in Angel Row at about 04:50 BST on Sunday.<\/h4>\n

Aisha Zaman has been charged with possession of a prohibited firearm – which magistrates heard was an adapted shotgun – and possession of that firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.<\/h4>\n

The 27-year-old, of Collison Street in Hyson Green, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, and is next set to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 20 November.<\/h4>\n

Zaman was remanded into custody ahead of her next court appearance.<\/h4>\n

The court heard the injured officer has since had “several surgeries” following the shooting.<\/h4>\n
