(Pothwar.com \u2013 Mohammad Naseer Raja \u2013 September 26, 2025): Two men from Keighley have been jailed for a combined <strong>20 years and one month<\/strong> after violently attacking a woman, dragging her from her car and stealing the vehicle during what a judge described as an <strong>\u201cabsolutely vicious\u201d<\/strong> street robbery and carjacking.<\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Imran Altaf, 31, of Harewood Crescent, Oakworth, was sentenced to 12 years in prison<\/strong>, while <strong>Dawood Basharat, 29, of Highfield Road, was jailed for eight years and one month<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Bradford Crown Court heard that the victim was sitting alone in her car in Keighley when the two men approached her. They took her keys and attempted to force her out of the driver&#8217;s seat.<\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"isSelectedEnd\">During the attack, Altaf kicked the woman twice in the chest and struck her on the head. Basharat also attempted to pull her from the driver&#8217;s seat while she desperately held on to the steering wheel.<\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The victim later described the terrifying incident, saying that at one point she feared the attackers were going to kill her. She also said she believed she might be kidnapped.<\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The two men then fled in the woman&#8217;s car. They were later pursued by police and stopped on <strong>Stanningley Bypass<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The court heard details of the violent incident before the judge imposed the prison sentences.
