London, September 19, 2026 (Pothwar.com \u2014 Mohammad Naseer Raja): A former Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officer who formed a relationship with a member of an organised crime group and shared confidential policing information has been jailed.<\/h4>\n

Following an Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) directed investigation, conducted by the GMP\u2019s Anti-Corruption Unit, former PC Tubah Hamid was found guilty on Thursday 9 July at Liverpool Crown Court.<\/h4>\n

PC Hamid, 25, made her first appearance at Liverpool Magistrates\u2019 Court in June 2025 to face three charges of misconduct in public office, causing the transmission of an image, or sound from within a prison via electronic communications and four counts of computer misuse, relating to unlawfully accessing information on computer systems without a policing purpose and providing information to an organised crime group.<\/h4>\n

Today (16 September), she was sentenced to three years imprisonment for the misconduct in public office charges, four months for computer misuse and four months for the illegal prison communications (both concurrent to the three years).<\/h4>\n
