Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com | 14 August, 2026): <\/strong>Three police officials have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to facilitate the escape of a prisoner from the Mandra area, following orders issued by Rawalpindi City Police Officer Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera.<\/h4>\n

The arrested officials have been identified as ASI Tauqeer Hussain, Head Constable Mehboob Khan and Constable Qasim<\/strong>. Police said a case has been registered at Mandrah Police Station under provisions relating to terrorism, criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, resistance against police and other relevant offences<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n

According to police, prisoner Hamad<\/strong> had been brought from Jhelum Jail to a court in Rawalpindi for a hearing. The incident occurred while he was being taken back after the court proceedings.<\/h4>\n

Police said preliminary investigations indicated that the prisoner was allegedly shifted into a private vehicle as part of a pre-planned escape involving certain police officials and his associates.<\/h4>\n

When Mandrah police received information and attempted to intercept the suspects, the escaped prisoner Hamad and his associates allegedly opened fire on the police party. During the ensuing action, police arrested one of Hamad’s associates, identified as Daniyal<\/strong>, and reportedly recovered a Kalashnikov<\/strong> from his possession.<\/h4>\n

Police teams are conducting searches across the area and carrying out raids at various locations to apprehend Hamad and his remaining associates. Authorities say all available resources are being utilized to locate and arrest the escaped prisoner.<\/h4>\n

Police further stated that Hamad is a known suspect in several serious criminal cases. Officials have vowed to arrest Hamad and his associates and bring all those responsible before the law.<\/h4>\n

CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said that any assistance or patronage of criminal elements will not be tolerated under any circumstances<\/strong>. He directed that those found involved in facilitating the prisoner’s escape be dealt with according to law.<\/h4>\n
