Rawalpindi Police\u2019s effective investigation and professional prosecution have led to a major development as a court has awarded the death sentence to a man convicted of murdering a citizen inside a mosque.<\/h4>\n

According to police officials, the convict, identified as Saima<\/strong>, had shot and killed a citizen inside a mosque in the jurisdiction of Sadiqabad Police Station, Rawalpindi<\/strong>, in March 2024 due to a previous personal dispute. The incident had created concern among citizens as the victim was targeted at a place of worship.<\/h4>\n

After a thorough investigation, collection of solid evidence, and effective follow-up of the case, the court found the accused guilty and awarded him a death sentence for the murder. The court also imposed a fine of Rs. 1 million<\/strong> as compensation.<\/h4>\n

In addition, the convict was awarded 12 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 200,000<\/strong> under other sections of the law.<\/h4>\n

Police officials stated that the punishment was awarded due to strong evidence presented before the court and the effective legal proceedings carried out by the investigation and prosecution teams.<\/h4>\n

City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera<\/strong> appreciated the efforts of the SSP Investigation, investigation officers, and legal teams<\/strong> for their professional work and successful prosecution of the case.<\/h4>\n
