RAWALPINDI (Pothwar.com \u2013 Ikram Ul Haq Qureshi | July 15, 2026):<\/strong> The inauguration of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project has once again been thrown into uncertainty, with the previously announced August 14 completion and opening deadline now at risk.<\/h4>\n

According to sources, construction work on the project’s main route has been completed. However, a dispute over the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the service area has created a fresh hurdle, delaying the project’s launch.<\/h4>\n

The case concerning the NOC for the 102-kanal and 14-marla service area is scheduled to be heard by the Lahore High Court on July 16. As a result, the final decision regarding the inauguration is expected to depend on the court’s proceedings.<\/h4>\n

Reports indicate that six separate inauguration deadlines for the Ring Road project have already passed, yet the road has still not been opened to the public.<\/h4>\n

The service area NOC scandal previously led to the removal of five officials from their positions, including the former Commissioner and former Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi. The new district administration is now awaiting both the court’s verdict and the findings of the ongoing inquiry.<\/h4>\n
