Kallar Syedan (Pothwar.com \u2013 Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | June 18, 2026):<\/strong> A procession was organised by the Sunni Ulema Council from Mureed Chowk in Kallar Syedan to commemorate the martyrdom day of Hazrat Umar (RA).<\/h4>\n

A large number of religious scholars, local residents, and traders participated in the procession. Prominent attendees included Sheikh Azeem Akram, Haji Riasat Hussain, Mohsin Naveed Sethi, Sardar Muhammad Taj, Maulana Amir Abbasi, Wasim Muawiya, and others.<\/h4>\n

Citizens showered flower petals on the participants at various points along Choa Road as a gesture of respect. Participants carried banners and placards and raised slogans in tribute to Hazrat Umar (RA).<\/h4>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Muhammad Ehsan urged the government to officially observe the days associated with the Rightly Guided Caliphs by declaring public holidays.<\/h4>\n

The procession concluded peacefully, after which participants dispersed without incident. Personnel from Punjab Police, City Traffic Police, Para Force, and other law enforcement agencies were present to ensure security and maintain order throughout the event.<\/h4>\n
