According to the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment, the \u201cProtection of Property Rights of Overseas Pakistanis Act 2024\u201d has been implemented to safeguard the assets of Pakistanis living abroad. Under this law, special courts are being set up across the country to expedite the resolution of property disputes and illegal possession cases.<\/h4>\n

The government stated that these courts will exclusively deal with cases related to overseas Pakistanis\u2019 properties. A pilot court has already started functioning in Islamabad, while the system is being gradually expanded to Punjab and other provinces.<\/h4>\n

The new legal framework allows overseas Pakistanis to submit complaints and case files electronically. Court appearances can also be made through video conferencing, ensuring participation without physical presence in Pakistan.<\/h4>\n

Authorities have set a strict timeline for case disposal, requiring decisions within 90 days. In case of appeal, High Courts will also be bound to decide within 90 days.<\/h4>\n
