Rawat (Pothwar.com \u2014 Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | April 09, 2026) \u2014The district administration in Islamabad announced local holiday on April 9 and 10, with all schools and offices ordered to remain closed during this period.<\/h4>\n

According to the notification issued by the district administration on Wednesday, all educational institutions and government and private offices in the federal capital will remain closed on Thursday and Friday.<\/h4>\n

However, essential services will continue to operate without interruption, the notification read.<\/h4>\n

“It is notified that 09th & 10th April, 2026 (Thursday & Friday) are hereby declared as local holidays within the revenue limits of Islamabad Capital Territory except the offices of essential services in Islamabad, including MCI, CDA, ICT Administration, ICT Police, IESCO, SNGPL and hospitals,” it stated.<\/h4>\n

The development came after Pakistan\u2019s diplomatic efforts paused the ongoing US-Israel war on Iran.<\/h4>\n
