Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com, February 08, 2026): Two wanted and dangerous robbers were arrested in an injured condition following a late-night police encounter in the Mandra area of Gujar Khan, while two of their accomplices managed to escape, police said on Sunday<\/h4>\n

According to details, a police party from Mandra Police Station was on routine patrol when four suspects riding a motorcycle opened fire on the police team. The police retaliated in self-defence, leading to a brief exchange of fire<\/h4>\n

During the encounter, two of the armed suspects sustained injuries and were apprehended by the police, while the remaining two fled the scene under the cover of darkness. The injured suspects were later identified as Niaz and Shehbaz<\/h4>\n

A police spokesperson said that a motorcycle snatched at gunpoint around one and a half months ago was recovered from the arrested suspects. Police also recovered weapons used in the crime from their possession<\/h4>\n

The spokesperson further stated that the arrested suspects were involved in multiple cases of robbery and vehicle theft and were wanted by police in several criminal cases<\/h4>\n

During the exchange of fire, a bullet hit Constable Ali; however, he remained completely safe due to wearing a bulletproof jacket<\/h4>\n

Upon receiving information about the incident, senior police officers reached the spot along with additional police forces to assess the situation and oversee further action. The injured suspects were shifted to a hospital under police custody for medical treatment<\/h4>\n

A search operation has been launched in the surrounding areas to arrest the fleeing suspects, and police teams are conducting raids at possible hideouts<\/h4>\n
