policy regarding the import of vehicles from abroad, imposing a ban on the import of used cars under the Personal Baggage Scheme for overseas Pakistanis residing in the United Arab Emirates, Gulf countries, and other parts of the world.<\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"isSelectedEnd\">According to official sources, the decision has been taken to streamline the import regime and curb unnecessary vehicle imports. In this regard, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Economic Affairs have approved amendments to the Import Policy Order 2022.<\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Ministry of Economic Affairs has issued a new Statutory Regulatory Order (SRO) No. 61 (I)\/2006, under which vehicles can now only be imported under the Transfer of Residence Scheme or the Gift Scheme. The import of vehicles under the Personal Baggage Scheme has been completely prohibited.<\/h4>\n<h4>Following the approval of the amendments, the Ministry of Commerce has issued a formal notification, which will take effect immediately.
