Blackburn, UK (Pothwar.com\u2014 Mohammad Naseer Raja | January 17, 2026): Fundraisers who had taken part in a gruelling charity cycle ride were welcomed back to Blackburn over the weekend.<\/h4>\n

Family and friends joined Blackburn MP Adnan Hussian and local councillors at a special event to celebrate the work of the \u2018Blackburn Hijrah Riders\u2019 and the staggering amount they had raised for a good cause.<\/h4>\n

The team completed their 340-mile Makkah to Medina ride last Thursday and raised more than \u00a3137,000 for the people of Palestine.<\/h4>\n

On Thursday, they shared footage of the team arriving in the holy city of Medina and then at the Masjid an-Nabawi.<\/h4>\n

At the Ivy Centre in Newton Street on Saturday, families held banners for the team as they drove to the venue straight from the airport.<\/h4>\n

A digital screen displayed images of the team as they made their way into the centre, with some of the fundraisers garlanded by enthusiastic supporters.<\/h4>\n

There were emotional scenes as the group, many of them clearly exhausted from the journey, were reunited with family and friends.<\/h4>\n
