Kallar Syedan (Pothwar.com \u2014 Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | December 24, 2025): <\/em>Deputy Director Livestock Kallar Syedan, Dr Khurram Irshad, while addressing farmers, said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched several beneficial programs for farmers and urged them to take full advantage of these facilities.<\/h4>\n

He expressed these views while speaking at a farmers\u2019 consultative meeting, which was also attended by Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Chaudhry Shahid Gujar. Dr Khurram Irshad stated that earlier the Punjab government had provided financial assistance to farmers for seeds and fertilisers, and now a modern livestock scheme has been introduced to increase meat production in the country.<\/h4>\n

He said that under CM Punjab Livestock Phase-II, the government has decided to provide interest-free loans to farmers for the purchase of livestock and animal feed. According to the proposed plan, interest-free loans of Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 27,000 per calf will be provided. For mutton production, loans will be given for 5 to 50 sheep at Rs. 13,500 per animal, while Rs. 5,000 per animal will be provided for female goats.<\/h4>\n
