An 85-year-old elderly and ailing resident of Kallar Syedan, Muhammad Hanif, son of Mehtab Din, a resident of Mohalla Sheikhan, has submitted a written complaint addressed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, alleging fraud and deception in the sale of his shop.<\/h4>\n

In his application, Muhammad Hanif stated that he migrated from India to Pakistan with his parents during the time of Partition while he was still a minor. Due to prolonged illness and old age, he spent all his assets on medical treatment. For his livelihood, he owned a single shop located at the main chowk of Kallar Syedan.<\/h4>\n

He further alleged that due to financial hardship and medical expenses, he was compelled to sell the shop. A person identified as Zeeshan Shani agreed to purchase the shop for Rs 3.5 million. However, under the pretext that the payment would be made later at his home, Zeeshan Shani got his signature on stamp papers without paying any amount. Muhammad Hanif claimed that neither was any agreement written in his presence nor was any payment made, but the shop was forcibly taken into possession.<\/h4>\n

The elderly complainant stated that he is now left without any source of income or funds for medical treatment, while the accused has illegally occupied his shop without paying the agreed amount.<\/h4>\n

He has appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab to take notice of the alleged fraud and ensure either the recovery of the agreed amount or restoration of possession of his shop so that justice may be served.<\/h4>\n
