A wedding ceremony in a Gujar Khan marriage hall turned into a scene of tragedy when an exchange of gunfire between two rival groups resulted in the deaths of two individuals on the spot. According to police, the deceased were identified as Mohammad Zareed<\/strong> and Rehman Mahmood of village Dhumman<\/strong>. As soon as the incident was reported, SDPO\/ASP Syed Daniyal Hassan<\/strong> and SHO Mirza Tayyab Baig<\/strong>, accompanied by a large contingent of police, rushed to the scene. The police cordoned off the area, collected forensic evidence, and conducted a thorough inspection of the marriage hall.<\/h4>\n

Police sources stated that the shooting was linked to an old rivalry and a longstanding dispute between the two groups. The adversaries had reportedly been embroiled in conflict for several years. According to insiders, reconciliation negotiations between both sides had recently made significant progress, but the violent incident at the wedding has once again escalated tensions.<\/h4>\n

Initial findings suggest that gunfire was exchanged from both sides, leading to the death of one person from each group. Among the deceased, Muhammad Zareed<\/strong> had recently returned to Pakistan after spending several years abroad, when a murder was committed.<\/h4>\n

Police have taken both bodies into custody and shifted them to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examination. Senior police officials have taken notice of the incident and requested a detailed report.<\/h4>\n
