Judge Kallar Syedan, Jahangir Ali Gondal, has announced the verdict in the Shah Khaki village murder case, handing down a death sentence to the convict, Muhammad Ashfaq, after the charges against him were proven.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"857\">According to the court\u2019s decision, the convict must pay <strong data-start=\"595\" data-end=\"610\">Rs. 500,000<\/strong> as compensation to the legal heirs of the deceased. If he fails to pay the amount, he will undergo <strong data-start=\"710\" data-end=\"747\">six months of simple imprisonment<\/strong>. The judgment further states that the compensation will be recovered in the same manner as land revenue dues.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"1032\">The court also noted that the implementation of the death penalty is <strong data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"980\">subject to confirmation by the Lahore High Court<\/strong>, for which a reference has already been dispatched.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1248\">In a separate charge, the court awarded Muhammad Ashfaq <strong data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1127\">10 years of rigorous imprisonment<\/strong> along with a <strong data-start=\"1141\" data-end=\"1164\">fine of Rs. 200,000<\/strong>. Failure to pay the fine will result in an additional <strong data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1247\">six months\u2019 imprisonment<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1584\">For injuring and violating the dignity of the injured woman, Musarrat Shaheen, the convict was handed <strong data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1389\">one year of rigorous imprisonment<\/strong> and a <strong data-start=\"1396\" data-end=\"1418\">fine of Rs. 50,000<\/strong>. In case of non-payment, he will have to serve <strong data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1503\">two months of simple imprisonment<\/strong>. Additionally, the court directed him to pay <strong data-start=\"1549\" data-end=\"1563\">Rs. 20,000<\/strong> to Musarrat Shaheen.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"1586\" data-end=\"1745\">The court ruled that all sentences will run <strong data-start=\"1630\" data-end=\"1646\">concurrently<\/strong>, and the convict has been granted the benefit of <strong data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1713\">Section 382-B<\/strong> of the Criminal Procedure Code.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"1747\" data-end=\"2106\">It is worth mentioning that on <strong data-start=\"1778\" data-end=\"1795\">July 21, 2023<\/strong>, Muhammad Ashfaq shot and killed a woman named Farzana and injured Musarrat Shaheen. Following the incident, the deceased woman\u2019s husband, Israr Hussain, a resident of Shah Khaki, registered a murder case against Ashfaq at the Kallar Syedan Police Station.
