Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com | November 01, 2025)<\/strong>\u00a0According to credible sources<\/strong>, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)<\/strong> has arrested Jahangir Ahmed<\/strong>, the son-in-law of former MNA and former District Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas<\/strong>, in connection with the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) financial scandal<\/strong>. Jahangir Ahmed is accused of transferring and embezzling Rs. 13 million of government funds<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n

As per details revealed during the investigation, Jahangir Ahmed<\/strong>, who serves as a stenographer in the RDA\u2019s finance department<\/strong>, allegedly transferred Rs. 13 million of public money<\/strong> to the bank account of his wife, Ms. Saima Jahangir<\/strong>, through a late former RDA Director<\/strong>, and subsequently misappropriated the funds.<\/h4>\n

NAB\u2019s investigation officer confirmed that substantial documentary evidence supports the allegations, and further inquiry is underway to identify other officials or individuals involved in the misappropriation.<\/h4>\n

Following his arrest, Jahangir Ahmed was produced before an accountability court<\/strong>, where the court approved a 10-day physical remand<\/strong> at the request of the NAB investigation team to facilitate further interrogation.<\/h4>\n

While the investigation continues, local political observers have noted that former MNA Raja Javed Ikhlas himself does not appear to have any direct link<\/strong> to the financial misconduct. However, because the embezzled funds were reportedly transferred into his daughter\u2019s account, his name and political standing in Gujar Khan have inevitably come under discussion<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n
