He was regarded as one of the most respected religious scholars in the United Kingdom.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"500\" data-end=\"711\">According to family sources, Mufti Abdul Rahim Naqshbandi was deeply saddened by the recent passing of <strong data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"634\">Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani<\/strong>, a renowned Islamic preacher, and he himself passed away a few days later.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"943\">His <strong data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"735\">funeral prayer<\/strong> was offered on <strong data-start=\"751\" data-end=\"769\">Friday evening<\/strong> at <strong data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"805\">Jamia Masjid Bilal, Rochdale<\/strong>.
