Resident Muhammad Shabbir Khan<\/strong>, through his counsel Sardar Yaseen Khan Advocate<\/strong>, filed a petition in the court of the Additional Commissioner of Revenue, Rawalpindi<\/strong>, seeking cancellation of the order issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Revenue (ADCR), Rawalpindi<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n

According to the petitioner, the ADCR had directed the Assistant Commissioner Kallar Syedan<\/strong>, Ishtiaq Ullah Khan Niazi, to convene a meeting with property owners and local stakeholders at the Union Council office to gather opinions and submit a report. However, instead of holding the meeting at the Union Council office, the then Naib Tehsildar Kallar Syedan<\/strong>, Raja Saleem Akhtar, reportedly sought verbal opinions from worshippers after Friday prayers at a mosque.<\/h4>\n

Based on this informal consultation, land designated as a pond was allegedly allotted for use as a graveyard, funeral ground, and Eid prayer area<\/strong>, without fulfilling the required legal procedures.<\/h4>\n

Acting on Muhammad Shabbir Khan\u2019s petition, the Additional Commissioner of Revenue, Rawalpindi<\/strong>, has suspended the ADCR\u2019s order<\/strong> and issued a stay order<\/strong>, summoning all parties involved to appear on October 30, 2025<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n
