The administration of Kallar Syedan<\/strong> and the City Traffic Police<\/strong> have completely failed to curb the illegal practices and overloading by the so-called AC Coaster transport mafia<\/strong>, which continues to operate with impunity.<\/h4>\n

According to local commuters, traffic officers are often seen standing in markets and along main roads while these AC coasters openly violate the law \u2014 running overloaded and with windows open \u2014 right in front of them. Despite clear violations, the authorities take no meaningful action to enforce the rules.<\/h4>\n

Residents have alleged that these AC coasters have effectively become a mafia<\/strong>, exploiting passengers while enjoying complete protection from the concerned departments. These vehicles charge AC fares but rarely operate air conditioning<\/strong>, advising passengers instead to \u201copen the windows for fresh air.\u201d<\/h4>\n

Moreover, severe overloading<\/strong> has become routine. The number of standing passengers equals those seated<\/strong>, with even female passengers forced to travel standing alongside men<\/strong>, creating discomfort and safety risks.<\/h4>\n

Locals claim that despite repeated complaints and appeals to members of the provincial assembly<\/strong>, no improvement has been witnessed. They also allege that the RTA Rawalpindi staff<\/strong>, Motorway Police<\/strong>, Punjab Highway Patrol at Chowk Pindori<\/strong>, and City Traffic Police Kallar Syedan<\/strong> are all seen facilitating this transport mafia rather than taking corrective measures.<\/h4>\n

Frustrated citizens have now appealed to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz<\/strong> to intervene personally, revoke the route permits<\/strong> of these violators, and invite new transport companies<\/strong> to operate under proper regulations to ensure safe and fair public transport service in the region.<\/h4>\n
