Mandra area of Tehsil Gujar Khan on Saturday, where a school van driver was shot dead in broad daylight on the Grand Trunk (GT) Road, right in front of a private educational institution.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"381\" data-end=\"564\">According to police sources, the shooting took place while the school van driver was on duty. An armed man approached and opened fire at close range, killing the driver on the spot.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"566\" data-end=\"924\">The deceased was identified as <strong data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"615\">Zeeshan Safeer<\/strong>, son of <strong data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"640\">Safeer Ahmad<\/strong>, a resident of <strong data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"671\">Jag village<\/strong>. Following the incident, the suspect \u2014 identified as <strong data-start=\"725\" data-end=\"736\">Shujaat<\/strong>, a resident of <strong data-start=\"752\" data-end=\"762\">Dheera<\/strong> \u2014 fled the scene. Police immediately cordoned off the area and shifted the body to the <strong data-start=\"850\" data-end=\"893\">Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Gujar Khan,<\/strong> for post-mortem examination.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"926\" data-end=\"1119\">Initial investigations suggest that the <strong data-start=\"966\" data-end=\"1011\">motive behind the killing remains unknown<\/strong>.
