Sweden (Pothwar.com \u2014 August 22, 2025): Pakistan\u2019s 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and fervour in Gothenburg, Sweden. The event, organized by the Sweden Pakistan Welfare Society, began with a flag-hoisting ceremony and the national anthem. Children participated in a parade, while a large number of families attended the celebration in traditional attire.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"910\">Colourful stalls featuring Pakistani food, clothing, henna, and face painting attracted significant attention. Children performed patriotic songs, tableaus, and short plays, earning warm applause from the audience. During a quiz session, prizes were distributed among the children.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"912\" data-end=\"1320\">Speaking on the occasion, Society President Khurram Kayani said such programs keep the spirit of patriotism alive among overseas Pakistanis. Veteran leader Abdul Jabbar Bari emphasised that these events help the younger generation stay connected to their homeland. Zulifqar Chaudhry highlighted the special significance of this year\u2019s Independence Day, noting Pakistan\u2019s resilience against its adversaries.<\/h4>\n<h4 data-start=\"1322\" data-end=\"1683\">The event concluded with chants of \u201cPakistan Zindabad,\u201d echoing throughout the venue adorned with Pakistani flags. The chief guest was Minhaj-ul-Quran President Nauman Shergarh, while stage proceedings were conducted by Ms. Erum Kayani.
