Rawat (Pothwar.com, Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi \u2013 June 23, 2025): <\/strong>A high-stakes police operation in the Rawat area turned violent when suspects opened fire on a police team attempting to arrest a notorious and dangerous criminal. During the encounter, one police constable sustained serious injuries while the prime suspect was killed in the exchange of fire.<\/h4>\n

According to police sources, the team had launched an operation to apprehend Qaiser alias Faisal<\/strong>, a wanted criminal involved in multiple serious cases, including murder, armed robbery, narcotics, and extortion<\/strong>. As the police team approached the suspect’s hideout, they came under heavy gunfire from the accused and his accomplices.<\/h4>\n

Constable Muhammad Ali<\/strong> was critically injured in the exchange and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is receiving treatment. CPO Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani<\/strong> has directed that the constable be provided with the best possible medical care<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n

The main suspect, Qaiser alias Faisal, was killed in the encounter. He was a recorded offender<\/strong> with multiple criminal cases registered against him. Police officials revealed that he had recently fired on law enforcement officers<\/strong>, and was also wanted for making and circulating explicit videos<\/strong> of a woman and two other individuals for the purpose of blackmail and extortion.<\/h4>\n

Following the incident, senior police officers rushed to the scene<\/strong>, and a combing and search operation<\/strong> was launched in the surrounding areas to apprehend the remaining suspects who managed to flee during the encounter.<\/h4>\n

CPO Khalid Hamdani, while speaking on the matter, emphasised that those who attack police or harm innocent citizens will face the full force of the law<\/strong> and will not escape justice.
