The money, which included online transfers and cash taken from his possession, was handed back along with an apology.<\/h4>\n

Last month, the Anti-Narcotics Force Rawalpindi reportedly recovered one kilogram of hashish from Inzamam Basharat, a resident of the village of Maira Sangal, Kallar Syedan, during a search operation, and subsequently transferred him to Adiala Jail.<\/h4>\n

However, emerging details suggest a different account. On the Kallar Dhangli\u2013Dadyal Road, Punjab Patrolling Police\u2019s ASI Hammad Afzal stopped the vehicle carrying Inzamam and another youth. The two were separated and confined in different rooms while the rental car manager was summoned, allegedly acting as an accomplice. During the custody, PKR 150,000 was withdrawn online from Inzamam\u2019s account, and PKR 40,000 was taken in cash. One of the youths was released while Inzamam was charged with possession of narcotics.<\/h4>\n

Following a departmental inquiry, ASI Hammad Afzal was suspended and disciplinary action was recommended. Subsequently, intermediaries helped mediate a settlement, and the stolen amount was returned to Inzamam’s family. Despite this, Inzamam remains incarcerated in Adiala Jail.<\/h4>\n

Locals have expressed serious concerns about the conduct of officers at the Shah Khaki Check Post, contrasting it with the commendable performance of the nearby Dadyal Police Post, which has effectively intercepted narcotics and arms trafficking.
