Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com \u2013 Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, May 4, 2025)<\/em> \u2014 The first official weekly session of the Pothohari Adabi Bethak Rawalpindi was successfully held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Dubai Marriage Hall in Bhangali, Gujar Khan. The literary gathering was attended by renowned intellectuals and poets from the Pothohar region.<\/h4>\n

Among the distinguished participants were scholar and poet Hassan Nawaz Shah, Chief Patron Nauman Mushtaq Raja, Founder and President Faisal Irfan, Communication Secretary Usman Aslam, and General Secretary Junaid Ghani Raja. Notable poets including Sajjad Haider and Bilal Anjum also graced the occasion, while literary enthusiasts such as Muhammad Meraj Ali, Muhammad Minhaj Ali, Nadeem Tabish, and Imran Mehmood Raja were present in the audience.<\/h4>\n

The event was divided into two parts. The first session focused on Pothohari spelling conventions and linguistic discussion of selected words. In the second part, participating poets presented their original poetry.<\/h4>\n

In his keynote address, Hassan Nawaz Shah emphasized the importance of continuing the creative journey and noted that orthographic challenges are common in all languages and evolve over time. He proposed that the literary gathering be held biweekly and include a diverse range of Pothohari writers, poets, and linguists to collaborate on resolving language and spelling issues through mutual consultation.<\/h4>\n
