The newly appointed traffic inspectors, Sajjad Hussain Qureshi and Afzal ur Rehman, launched a significant campaign against transport operators who refused to lower their fares. The crackdown led to numerous vehicles being ticketed and impounded.<\/h4>\n

The transporters were urged to either obtain an updated fare list from the Rawalpindi RTA Secretary or voluntarily reduce their fares. Media outlets also played a crucial role in this development. Following negotiations, the transporters announced a reduction in fares ranging from 10 to 40 PKR across all routes. The most significant reduction was for the Choa Khalsa route, where the fare dropped from 100 PKR to 60 PKR.<\/h4>\n
